Director of Athletic Development, Scarlet R Club
Lisa Gonzalez joined the Scarlet R Club in June 2000 and took over the role as Director of the Scarlet R Club in June 2006. Lisa’s duties will focus on producing revenue via annual fund raising programs, major gifts in support of Rutgers Athletics, and the on-going cultivation and stewardship of major gift donors/prospects. She is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of the collective gift club known as the Scarlet R.
Before joining the Scarlet R Club Lisa's fundraising experience began at the University of North Carolina - Asheville. As an intern for the Bulldog Club, Lisa played an integral role in the organization's annual auction and golf outing. Upon the completion of her duty with UNC - Asheville, Lisa interned at the Piedmont Educational Foundation - Bears Club at Lenoir-Rhyne College. Mentoring Lisa at LRC was former Scarlet R Club Associate Director, Patrick Tevlin.
Lisa is a graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne College, where she attained her bachelor’s degree in Sports management and was also an accomplished student-athlete. She was a four-year letterwinner for the Bear's women's soccer team and served as captain her senior year.
